Her main research interest areas are: tourism, servitization, knowledge management, and creativity. Luna's research findings have appeared in top-tier tourism, business, and management journals.

    Professor of the Graduate Program in Tourism and Hospitality (PPGTURH) and undergraduate courses in the Area of Hospitality and Tourism of the University of Caxias do Sul (UCS), currently performing the role of Coordinator at the Innovation and Development Center NID ODITT (Observation, Development and Tourist and Territorial Intelligence). Coordinator of the Tourism Observatory Project of Serra Gaúcha. PhD in Administration by PUCRS/UCS, Master in Tourism (UCS), Specialist in Management and Sustainable Development of Tourism (UCS), Specialist in University Management (UCS), Bachelor of Tourism (UCS). Specializations in environmental education from the University of Brasilia and the Ministry of the Environment (UNB/MMA), Territorial Planning by the Magíster en Gestión y Planificación Ambiental of the Universidad de Chile (UCHILE), Chile and Sandwich Doctorate Internship at the CERMOSEM Center of the Université Grenoble Alpes (UGA), France.

    Trevor is trained as an Architect and Project Manager. Trevor has extensive experience with construction standards and building certification systems and a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED®) Accredited Professional. Trevor has worked as a construction manager, sustainability consultant, and auditor on behalf of the Canada Green Building Council. His experience with sustainability standards has proven crucial for the successful development of the Hotel Resilient Standards and is instrumental in his role as Director of Standards and Accreditation at Hotel Resilient. He holds a Masters degree in Disaster Management & Sustainable Development from Northumbria University, United Kingdom and a Doctoral degree from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), Germany.

  • Dr. Bijan Khazai

    Bijan is the CEO of Hotel Resilient, and an expert in risk management. He led the development of the global multi-hazard disaster risk management standards for hotels and resorts as part of the Hotel Resilient Initiative of the Global Initiative on Disaster Risk Management. He has over 20 years of experience as a Principal Investigator in a number of international consulting and research projects on disaster risk management on behalf of the UN, World Bank and other multilateral agencies. He holds Masters and Doctoral degrees in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of California at Berkeley.

    Full Professor of Management at the University of Rome "Tor Vergata". In the same University she also holds the following roles: Director of the Interdepartmental Research Center for TeleInFrastructures - CTIF, Director of the Master in "Economics and Management of Tourism and Cultural Activities", Director of the Master in "Management of Organizations and Social Doctrine of the Church". Her main research interests are: System Thinking and Theory of the firm; Organizational evolution and Co-evolution; Technology Transfer, Start-up/spin-off; Knowledge and Time Management; Tourism and Heritage Management; Sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility. She is author and co-author of over a hundred publications, including journals articles, chapters and volumes, and research reports, published both nationally and internationally.
